Sara Brown is the principal designer at Brown & Co with over 20 years of experience in the design industry. She founded her namesake company in 2009 and has since become known for her thoughtful spaces that evoke unexpected moments. Her design philosophy is based on the belief that the home is the foundation for life –a space where we can be ourselves and connect with those around us. 

Born in California and raised in Idaho, her eclectic and artistic parents instilled in her a love of creativity and an appreciation of home early on. 

Sara offers a unique perspective on design, blending approachability with style and warmth to create spaces that are truly personal.

Xenia has always had a passion for design and completed a degree in Interior Design from BCIT. While attending school she also worked in the restaurant industry, which gave her valuable experience in customer service and project management.

She believes that a well-designed space should evoke emotion and be reflective of your lifestyle. This was especially important to her as she was finishing school and starting a family; she and her husband have two young boys who love exploring the west coast. They can often be found on walks in the forest trails or at the beach.

Her forever love for 90s hip hop and r&b is always an inspiration in the studio. Her hope is to bring joy and beauty into people’s lives through the design process.

Sujin studied interior design at BCIT and has been at Brown and Co for over three years. She is constantly exploring new trends and incorporating them into her work. Sujin brings her signature joyful outlook to every project and is excited to help her clients create beautiful spaces that reflect their personal style.

Growing up in South Korea, a country with a rich culture and cuisine influenced her love of all things creative. Whether you're looking for a new place to eat or somewhere to shop, Sujin is always happy to share her recommendations.  She loves food and cafes and knows all the hot spots to eat in the city. 

She has a keen eye for detail, a great sense of style and her delightful personality makes her a joy to work with.

Brianne grew up in a creative environment. Her grandfather custom-built her family's home, and her father ran a construction business. As a result, Brianne spent much of her childhood on job sites, where she was often the youngest and only female. Through these experiences, Brianne learned the importance of hard work and determination. She also developed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the construction process.

In 2006 Brianne began her educational experience in a multi-disciplinary setting – intersecting interiors, art and styling. Wanting to work more in her roots, Brianne began studying interior design at BCIT in 2019.

Thanks to her unique upbringing, she has a rare perspective that allows her to see the potential in every project. Brianne brings her signature mix of creativity and practicality to each project.
